Welcome To Swan and Hedgehog

Pub Ipswich

Eating Out In Ipswich

The Swan and Hedgehog (formerly The Swan) in Ipswich is well-known for supporting local artists and has even attracted famous acts including Ed Sheeran, Mumford and Sons and Slaves. Our pub had a refurbishment and reopened a year after closing as the Swan and Hedgehog in 2019, marking a new era for Ipswich. In 2017 a street artist painted a hedgehog on the exterior wall as part of Suffolk Wildlife’s Trust campaign to increase hedgehog numbers and to help fulfil Ipswich’s aim to become the most hedgehog friendly town in the UK. The pub owners (who also own The Castle in Framlingham) say the mural has become a local landmark.

Well known for good service, amazing food and great atmosphere, the pub also serves a large range of real ales, ciders, lagers, wines, spirits and cocktails to suit all tastes. The pub boasts an impressive calendar of events including regular karaoke and live performances from bands and a wide range of artists from all genres.

You will always find a great atmosphere and friendly regulars. So come, relax and have some fun down at the Swan and Hedgehog.
