Ipswich Entertains is the home of great events. We have something for everyone from keen cyclists to animal lovers, film lovers to foodies and music fans. Ipswich Borough Council’s Events Team make it their priority to deliver a wide range of quality family friendly events in outdoor venues that are accessible to everyone. We organise open air theatre shows, themed family fun days, multicultural music festivals, cycling sportives, open air cinema screenings and markets. Our most popular events are the 2 day Maritime Festival along the Waterfront, the Christmas Lights Switch-on and our biggest and best event Ipswich Music Day. Music Day has been running for more than 25 years and offers local undiscovered talent the chance to perform in front of a 35,000 strong crowd. This event has grown over the years and would you believe Ed Sheeran himself performed a few years ago when not many people knew who he was!
Live Events And Festivals In Ipswich
Ipswich Entertains was set up as the place to go to find local events on your doorstep. Our website details all of our events in outdoor venues as well as partner events and has all the information you need. We hold events in parks across the Borough and the Waterfront. Where possible we keep our events free so they’re accessible to everyone. Our aim is to provide a great day out for all and our 134,550 visitors across the year keep returning!
Over the years we’ve worked with lots of local charities and companies, putting on event together and supporting their own ideas. We also support local event organisers putting on their own events, offering them advice and support, providing them with contacts, health and safety checks on the day and free promotion.
So if you’re looking for something to do at the weekend or need support to put on your own event get in touch!
